Sarah’s love of pottery began with an art center course in college and has continued off and on, between day jobs, for over 20 years. She has studied with Dominic Mosca in Evanston, Illinois and with Kim Heindl Toner in York, Pennsylvania and set up her home studio in 2019 in Seattle. Her work includes thrown and hand-built pieces, occasionally imprinted with found items such as vintage lace and crochet, crinoids, driftwood, shells, beach glass and organic plant materials. Whenever possible, she loves to do raku firing. While her work tends toward the functional, she has also created artistic ceramics. Sarah works from studios in Seattle and Andalusia and takes commissions.
